OPERATION

Low Oil Level
The low oil indicator light will alert the operator if the oil level is low.
Add oil before furt her operation of the snowmobile. See page 60 for oil
recommendations.
CAUTION
Operating the snowmobile without adequate engine lubrication
can result in serious engine damage. Always add oil when the
low oil indicator light comes on.
Always check and fill the oil tank
when refueling. Maintain the oil
level at the bottom of the filler neck.
Maintaining adequate oil in t he oil
tank will prevent system aeration
and possible loss of pumping action,
which could result in engine
damage.
NOTE: The engine may be
operated as long as oil is
visible in the oil bottle. If
oil is not visible, continued
operation may cause
serious engine damage.
NOTE: The Polaris oil cap on the oil bottle is vented to allow proper
oil flow. See your Polaris dealer for recommended
replacement parts.
