MAINTENANCE AND LUBRICATION
Engine Oil Check
Always check and change the oil at the intervals outlined in the
Periodic Maintenance Chart beginning on page 61. Maintain the oil
level at the center of the sight glass. Do not overfill.
1. Position the vehicle on a level
surface.
2. View the oil level through the
sight glass (1) on the right side
of the vehicle.
NOTE: A rising oil level between
checks in cool weather
driving can indicate
contaminants such as
gas or moisture
collecting in the
crankcase. If the oil
level rises to the top of
the sight glass, change
the oil immediately.
3. Remove the fill plug (2) and add the recommended oil as needed.
4. Reinstall the fill plug.
