HubSite Synchronization
WhatisHubSiteSynchronization?
Whenseveralradiosarecollocatedatacommonhubsite,interferencemayoccurfromone
unittoanother.RADWINODUssupportthecollocationofmorethantwounitsatacentral
site.LikeanyotherRFdeployment,thewire lessoperationishighlydependentonfactors
suchasavailablefrequencies,thephysicalspacingbetweenradios,otherinterferingradios,
andwhetherRADWIN2000,RADWIN2000CPlusorRADWIN5000unitsareinstalled.
TheRADWINHubSiteSynchronization(HSS)methodusesacableconnectedfromtheMas ter
ODUtoallcollocatedODUs;thiscablecarriespulsessenttoeachODU,whichsynchronize
theirtransmissionwitheachother.Thepulsesynchronizationensuresthattransmission
occursatthesametimeforallcollocatedunits.Thisalsoresultsinallofthe hubsiteunits
receivingdataatthesametime,eliminatingthepossibilityofinterferencethatcouldresultif
someunitstransmitwhileotherunitsatthesamelocationreceive.
