3 Compassoffset
Oncethelinearizationprocesshascompleted,itispossiblethattheheadingvalue
maybeslightlyoutofalignment.Thisiscommonwhereinstallationspaceislimited
andtheAR200isnotproperlyalignedwithyourvessel’
slongitudinalaxis.Inthis
case,itispossibletomanuallyadjusttheCompassoffset.

Whenenabled,theCompasslockpreventsthecontinualmonitoringandadaptation
ofthecompasslinearizationprocess.

Resetcalibration
Y oucanresetyourAR200’scurrentlinearizationsettingsbyselecting Reset
calibration
Continualmonitoringandadaptation
T oensureoptimumperformance,aftertheinitiallinearizationprocessiscompletetheunitcontinues
tomonitorandadaptthecompasslinearizationtosuitcurrentconditions.
Iftheconditionsforlinearizationarelessthanideal,theautomaticlinearizationprocesstemporarily
pausesuntilconditionsimproveagain.Thefollowingconditionscancausethelinearizationprocess
totemporarilypause:
•significantmagneticinterferenceispresent
•vesselspeedtooslowortoofast
•rate-of-turntooslowortoofast
