Theunitdoesnotrequireregularcleaning.However,ifyoufinditnecessarytocleantheunit,
pleasefollowthestepsbelow:
1.Ensurepowerisswitchedoff.
2.Wipeunitcleanwithadampcloth.
3.Ifnecessary,useamilddetergentsolutiontoremovegreasemarks.
Transducercleaning
Growthcancollectonthebottomofthetransducer,thiscanreduceperformance.T opreventthe
buildupofseagrowth,coatthetransducerwithathinlayerofwaterbasedantifoulingpaint,
availablefromyourlocalmarinedealer.Reapplypaintevery6monthsoratthebeginningofeach
boatingseason.Certainsmarttransducershaverestrictionsonwhereantifoulingpaintisapplied.

Note:Neverusek etonebasedpaint.Ketonescanattackmanyplasticspossiblydamagingthe
sensor.

Useasoftclothandmildhouseholddetergenttocleanthetransducer .Ifthefoulingissevere,remove
thegrowthwithagreenscotchbrite

pad.Becarefultoavoidscratchingthetransducersface.
Ifyourtransducerhasapaddlewheelyoucanwetsandwithfinegradewet/drypaper.
