(13.1ft)extensioncableisavailableifrequired.
•Ensurethereisenoughslackinthetransducer
cable,atthetransducerend,toallowthe
transducertopivotupanddown.
•Securethecableatregularintervalsusingcable

Mountingsurfacerequirements
Ensureunitsareadequatelysupportedonasecure

Cableroutingrequirements
Ensuretheunitismountedinalocationwhichallows
properroutingandconnectionofcables:
•Minimumcablebendradiusof100mm(3.94in)is
requiredunlessotherwisestated.
•Usecablesupportstopreventstresson
connectors.
Electricalinterference
Selectalocationthatisfarenoughawayfrom
devicesthatmaycauseinterference,suchas
motors,generatorsandradiotransmitters/receivers.
GPSlocationrequirements
Inadditiontogeneralguidelinesconcerningthe
locationofmarineelectronics,thereareanumber
ofenvironmentalfactorstoconsiderwheninstalling
equipmentwithaninternalGPSantenna.
Mountinglocation
•AboveDecksmounting:
Itisrecommendedthatthedisplayismounted
abovedecksasthisprovidesoptimalGPS
performance.
•BelowDecksmounting:
GPSperformancemaybelesseffectivewhen
mountedbelowdecks.
Vesselconstruction
Theconstructionofyourvesselcanhaveanimpact
onGPSperformance.Forexample,theproximity
ofheavystructuressuchasastructuralbulkhead,
ortheinterioroflargervesselsmayresultina
reducedGPSsignal.Beforelocatingequipment
withaninternalGPSantennabelowdecks,seek
