Makinganurgencycall
Anurgencycallshouldbeusedwhenthereisdangertoavehicleorpersonthatdoesnotrequire
immediateassistance.Urgencycallsaretransmittedtoallstations.
FromtheAllshipscallmenu:Menu>DSCCalls>Allshipscall.
1.SelectUrgency.
2.Selectthechannelforsubsequentcommunication.
Thecallistransmitted.OncethecallhasbeensuccessfullytransmittedSentisdisplayed
onscreenandthechannelischangedtothespecifiedchannel.
3.PresstheOKbutton.
4.Pressandholdthe
PTTbuttonandspeakthefollowingmessage:
PANPAN,PANPAN,PANPAN
ALLSTATIONS,ALLSTATIONS,ALLSTATIONS
ThisisMMSIofyourvessel,nameofyourvesselrepeated3times,callsignofyourvessel.
PositionY ourvessel’sposition.
ReasonforcallStatethereasonforthecallandincludeallinformationwhichwillassistin
therescue.

Receivinganurgencycall
Whenanurgencycallisreceived:
1.Select
Showinfofromtheoptionstoreviewrelevantcalldetails.
2.Select
Acceptatanytimetoacceptthecall.
If auto channel change is turned on then the channel will automatically change after 10 seconds.
Theradioisre-tunedtothespecifiedchannel.
3.Listenfortheurgencycallmessage.
