Theradiocanrequestpositioninformationfromanystationcapableofrespondingtotherequest.
Positionrequestscanbesenttoanycontactstoredinthe
Phonebookorbymanuallyinputting
thestationsMMSInumber.
WhenconnectedtoaRaymarine®multifunctiondisplay(MFD)thepositiondatafromtherequest
canalsobedisplayintheChartapp.
Makingapositionrequest
Y oucanrequestthepositionofanotherstation.
Fromthe
PositionRequestmenu:Menu>DSCCalls>PositionRequest.
1.Select
PhonebooktorequestthepositionofacontactsavedinyourPhonebook,or
2.Select
RecentCallstorequestthepositionofacontactthatyouhavecalledrecently,or
3.Select
EnterMMSItomanuallyentertheMMSInumberofthestationthatyouwanttorequest
thepositionof.
4.SelectacontactorenteranMMSImanuallyandpressthe
OKbutton.
Thepositionrequestissent.Whenaresponseisreceivedthepositionofthecontactisdisplayed.
Respondingtoapositionrequest
WithaPositionrequestdisplayed:
1.Select
Sendpositiontorespondwithyourcurrentlocation,or
2.Select
Canceltoignoretherequest.
3.Ifthepositionreplyissettomanualthenselect
SENDtosendthepositionreport.
4.Select
OKtoresumenormaloperation.
Ifthe
Positionrequestssetting,foundintheGPSset-upmenuissettoAutoacceptthenthe
responseissentautomatically.
Settingautomaticresponsetopositionrequests
Y oucanconfigureyourradiotorespondtoincomingpositionrequestsautomatically.
Fromthe
DSCset-upmenu:Menu>Set-up>DSCset-up
1.Select
PositionrequeststoswitchbetweenManualaccept(default)andAutoaccept.
