Trouble Checks
Date and/or time
were recorded on
tape
Date and/or time are
incorrect
Vertical white lines
appear when shoot-

Camcorder enters
pause mode when
pointed up or down
Error number
(E01, E02, etc.)
appears in
viewfinder
Displays will be recorded on tape whenever they appear in
the viewfinder. Remove them from viewfinder when
recording. See pages 50-51.
When AUTO DATE is selected (SCENE SELECT AE dial in
AUTO), the date will automatically be recorded when you
begin recording or change the cassette. See pages 50-51.
Clock lithium cell battery may need replacing. See page 52.
Date or time may need to be set. See page 49.
This may occur when background extremely contrasts with
the subject.
Auto pause system turned on. Camcorder automatically
enters pause mode when it is tilted up or down 90 degrees.
Place AUTO PAUSE in OFF position. See page 34.
Try disconnecting power source. Wait ten seconds and then
connect power source again. If error number does not
disappear from viewfinder, consult your Authorized RCA
Camcorder Servicenter.
