Install a blanking cover to each spare position on the base units.
Place the blanking cover on the base unit and use a broad (9mm) flat blade
screwdriver to turn the clamp screw 90° to the lock position.

For EMC static protection you should fit the black plastic protection covers (supplied
with the base units) over any exposed 48 pin DIN connectors on the T9300 I/O Base
unit.
