Video
heads

Holding
the
camcorder

When
the
camcorder
has
been
used
for
a
long
time,
the
sound
and
picture
playback
quality
deteriorate
(as
illustrated).
In
such
case,
the
video
heads
should
be
cleaned.

Be
very
careful
when
using
commercially
available
video
head-cleaning
products,
as
some
might
not
be
effective
or
damage
the
heads.
@
Video
heads
will
wear
after
they
have
been
used
for
a
long
period.
If
the
playback
quality
is
poor,
even
after
having
cleaned
the
video
heads,
they
might
need
to
be
replaced.
For
detailed
information
and
assistance,
please
consult
your
dealer.

Note:
Do
not
use
commercially
available
wet-type
video
head-cleaning
cassettes.
They
may
damage
the
video
heads
in
your
unit.
For
the
most
suitable
head-cleaning
cassettes,
please
consult
the
dealer
where
the
unit
was
purchased.
Inspection
at
1000-hour
intervals
For
continued
trouble
free
operation
and
beautiful
pictures,
it
is
recommended
to
have
the
unit
inspected
(including
cleaning,
lubrication
and
replacement
of
worn
parts
as
necessary),
every
1000
hours
of
use
(approximately).
For
detailed
information
and
assistance,
please
consult
your
dealer.
Cleaning
the
viewfinder
Fully
pull
out
the
eye-piece,
then
push
it
back
slightly.
Turn
it
towards
the
left
(in
the
direction
of
the
arrow,
as
illustrated),
then
remove
it.
Use
an
air
blower
(sold
separately)
to
remove
any
dust
on
the
viewfinder.
Reassemble
in
the
reverse
order
of
disassembly.

grip
belt
to
carry
the
camcorder.
Holding
it
as
shown
in
the
illustration
below
might
damage
the
camcorder
or
some
of
its
components.
Remove
the
cassette
tape
when
the
unit
is
not
being
used.

recharge
the
battery
pack
in
a
foreign
country
The
AC
adaptor/charger
can
be
used
in
any
country
where
the
standard
voltage
is
between
100
V
and
240
V
AC.
You
may
need
a
plug
adaptor
(sold
separately)
to
use
the
AC
adaptor/charger
abroad.

tape
playback
on
a
TV
receiver
It
is
always
possible
to
view
the
tape
playback
in
the
viewfinder.
To
watch
playback
on
a
TV,
you
will
need
to
connect
the
camcorder
to
a
TV
using
the
same
colour
system
standard
(PAL).
