3. The latched in oat switch (3) (Fig. 5) allows
pumping down to 1 mm from ground level.
Attention! Always keep an eye on the pump when
the oat switch (3) is engaged so that you can
switch it o before it runs dry.
Note:
• Check that the pump is standing stably on the shaft
oor or is securely suspended.
• Check that the hose has been properly attached.
• Prevent the pump from running dry (set the oat
switch correctly).
• Make sure that the electrical connection is 220 V ~
240 V / 50 Hz.
• Check the proper condition of the mains socket and
that it has an appropriate fuse (min. 6A).
• Insert the pump plug into the mains socket and the
pump is ready for operation.
• Make sure that moisture or water cannot reach the
mains power connection. There is a danger of elec-
tric shock.
9. Start up
m ATTENTION!
Always make sure the device is fully assembled
before commissioning!
Set-up / suspension
• The pump well should have dimensions of at least
45 x 45 x 45 cm so that the oat switch (3) can move
freely.
• The device can be suspended by the carrying han-
dle (1) or placed on the shaft oor.
• You can use a rope to hang up and/or pull out the
pump.
• For safe suspension, loop the rope around two of
the grips of the carrying handle (1) and feed it up-
wards through the carrying handle (1). (Fig. 10)
• Never hang the device by the hose.
• Dip the pump in the liquid to be pumped at a 45
degree angle initially (to reduce the amount of air
trapped in the pump body). If the pump is resting on
the ground, make sure it is on a at and stable sur-
face
• Make sure that there are no people in the liquid to
be pumped.
• Connect the pump to the mains.
• With accessories as well as wearing parts and re-
placement parts use only original parts. Replace-
ment parts can be obtained from your dealer. When
ordering please provide our article number as well
as type and year of manufacture for your equipment.
m ATTENTION!
The device and the packaging material are not
children’s toys! Do not let children play with plas-
tic bags, lms or small parts! There is a danger of
choking or suocating!
8. Assembly / Before commissioning
Mounting the base (Fig. 2, 7-9)
Mount the respective suction strainer (4/5) or remove it
completely as shown in Fig. 2:
• Coarse suction strainer (5): For particles ≥ 30 mm
(coarse contamination) (Fig. 7)
• Fine suction strainer (4): For particles ≥ 5 mm (no
contamination to light contamination) (Fig. 8)
• Without suction strainer: For pumping o water
down to 1 mm of depth (Fig. 9)
Connecting the hose (Fig. 3)
The pump is installed either with a xed pipeline or
with a exible hose line.
1. Screw the angled pump connection adapter (6)
onto the pump connection outlet (8).
2. Screw the hose connection nozzle (7) onto the
pump connection bend (6).
3. Put the hose over the hose connection piece (7)
and fasten it with a hose clamp. Alternatively, use
a screw connection on the angled pump connec-
tion adapter (6) or on the hose connection piece
(7).
Attention!
Note that in the case of heavily contaminated water in
which particles that reach the maximum particle size of
30 mm are oating, this can lead to blockages. In such
cases, use a suciently large hose in conjunction with
the largest connection option.
Montage oat switch (Fig. 1, 4, 5, 6)
1. The oat switch (3) can be latched into place (Fig.
4 and 5) or freely suspended (Fig. 6).
2. The freely suspended oat switch (3) (Fig. 6) is
used to prevent the pump from running dry and to
prevent possible damage.
