Such damaged electrical connection cables must not
be used and are life-threatening due to the insulation
damage.
Check the electrical connection cables for damage
regularly. Ensure that the connection cables are dis-
connected from electrical power when checking for
damage.
Electrical connection cables must comply with the ap-
plicable VDE and DIN provisions. Only use connection
cables with the designation H05RN-F.
The printing of the type designation on the connection
cable is mandatory.
Connection type Y
If it is necessary to replace the mains connection ca-
ble, this must be done by the manufacturer or their
representative to avoid safety hazards.
11. Cleaning, storage and maintenance
Cleaning
Attention!
Disconnect the mains plug before carrying out any
cleaning work.
General cleaning tasks
• Non-stationary installed devices: Clean the pump
with clean water after each use.
• Stationary installed devices: Check the function of
the oat switch (3) regularly (at least every three
months).
• Remove lint and brous particles that may have be-
come trapped in the pump housing with a water jet.
• Regularly remove sludge from the base plate (every
3 months at the latest) and clean the shaft walls.
• Clean the oat switch (3) of deposits with clean water.
• If you have not used the pump for a longer period of
time, the pump must be cleaned thoroughly after the
last use and before its next use. Otherwise, start-up
problems may occur due to deposits and residues.
Cleaning the impeller wheel (Fig. 2)
If the impeller wheel is dirty or blocked, you can clean
it via the pump connection outlet (8) or by removing the
oor plate (9):
1. Screw the angled pump connection adapter (6) o
the pump connection outlet (8).
2. Remove the screws at the bottom of the pump
housing and take o the oor plate (9).
3. Clean the impeller wheel with clear water.
4. The re-assembly takes place in reverse order.
Check the function of the oat switch
• The oat switch (3) is to be set such that immedi-
ate start-up is possible. In the case of stationary in-
stallation, the function of the oat switch (3) must be
checked regularly (at least every three months).
• The on or o switching point of the oat switch (3)
can be adjusted by changing the position of the oat
switch (3) in the oat switch grid (10). Please check
the following points before commissioning.
• The oat switch (3) must be positioned in such a
way that the switching point height “On” and the
switching point height “O” can be reached easily
and with little eort.
• Check this by placing the pump in a container lled
with water and carefully lifting the oat switch (3) by
hand and then lowering it again. In doing so, you
can see whether the pump switches on or o. Al-
so make sure that the distance between the oat
switch head and the oat switch grid (10) is not too
small. If the distance is too small, proper functioning
is not guaranteed.
• When adjusting, make sure that the oat switch
(3) does not touch the ground before the pump is
switched o. Attention! Danger of dry-running
and damage to the device.
10. Electrical connection
The electrical motor installed is connected and ready
for operation. The connection complies with the appli-
cable VDE and DIN provisions.
The customer‘s mains connection as well as the ex-
tension cable used must also comply with these reg-
ulations.
Damaged electrical connection cable
The insulation on electrical connection cables is often
damaged.
This may have the following causes:
• Pressure points, where connection cables are
passed through windows or doors.
• Kinks where the connection cable has been improp-
erly fastened or routed.
• Places where the connection cables have been cut
due to being driven over.
• Insulation damage due to being ripped out of the wall
outlet.
• Cracks due to the insulation ageing.
