EASY DEFROST OPERATION
EASY DEFROST
This funcon allows you to select a range of weights, ranging from 100g to 2000g, which have been pre-
programmed with a me and power level so that the following food can be defrosted easily: beef, chicken, pork
and lamb.
1. Press the DEFROST buon once. The screen will display “500g”.
2. Press the or buons to select the food weight. The weight ranges from 100g to 2000g.
3. Press the START/CONFIRM/+30 SEC buon to begin defrosng.
For example:
To defrost 1000g of beef mince

• If necessary, shield small areas of meat with at pieces of aluminium foil. This will prevent the areas from
becomming warm during defrosting. Ensure the foil does not touch the microwave walls.
• After defrosting, cover the food in foil and leave to stand until thoroughly defrosted

NOTES:
DEFROSTING ADVICE
Rearrange Foods that are placed towards the centre of the dish will defrost quicker than foods
in the edge. It is therefore essential that the food is rearranged up to 4 times during
defrosting.
Rearrange over-lapping areas and closely packed pieces.
This will ensure that all parts of the food defrosts evenly.
Separate Foods may be stuck together when removed from the freezer. It is important to separate
llets.
Shield Some areas of food being defrosted may become warm. To prevent them becoming
warmer and starting to cook, these areas can be shielded with small pieces of foil, which
ect microwaves, e.g. legs and wings on a chicken.
Stand Standing time is necessary to ensure food is thoroughly defrosted. Defrosting is not
complete once the food is removed from the microwave oven. Food must stand, covered,
for a length of time to ensure the centre has completly defrosted.
Turn over It is essential that all foods are turned over at least once during defrosting. This is
important to ensure thorough defrosting.
NOTES:
• Remove all packaging and wrapping before defrosting.
• To defrost food, use microwave power levels 10% to 30%.
Defrosting food using your microwave oven is the quickest method of all.
It is a simple proccess but the following instructions are essential to ensure the food is thoroughly defrosted.
