13.1 Activate frost protection
Protect your appliance from frost dur-
ing transport and storage.
ATTENTION!
Residues of liquid in the appliance
may damage it during transport or
storage.

Empty the pipe system before
transport or storage.
Requirements
¡ The appliance is ready to use.
¡ The water tank has been filled.
1. Remove the milk container.
2. Clean the brewing unit.

3. Place a large container under the
outlet system.
4. Press repeatedly until the dis-
play shows "Milk froth".
5. Press repeatedly until the dis-
play shows 240ml.
6. Press .
7. Wait until steam escapes from the
appliance.
8. Remove the water tank.
a The appliance drains itself auto-
matically.
9. If the message "Please refill water
tank" appears, ignore it.
10.Empty and clean the water tank
and drip tray.
11.Insert the water tank and drip tray.
12.Switch the appliance off and dis-
connect it from the power supply.
13.2 Disposing of old appli-
ance
Valuable raw materials can be re-
used by recycling.
1. Unplug the appliance from the
mains.
2. Cut through the power cord.
3. Dispose of the appliance in an en-
vironmentally friendly manner.
Information about current disposal
methods are available from your
specialist dealer or local authority.
This appliance is la-
belled in accordance
with European Directive
2012/19/EU concerning
used electrical and elec-
tronic appliances (waste
electrical and electronic
equipment - WEEE).
The guideline determ-
ines the framework for
the return and recycling
of used appliances as
applicable throughout
the EU.

Function-relevant genuine spare parts
according to the corresponding Eco-
design Order can be obtained from
Customer Service for a period of at
least 7 years from the date on which
your appliance was placed on the
market within the European Eco-
nomic Area.
Note:Under the terms of the manu-
facturer's warranty the use of Cus-
tomer Service is free of charge.
