Decorative stitches

Set the machine as illustrated.
Turn the stitch length dial to suit the fabric and application.
For a delicate edge finish along the edge of fabric. This
stitch looks best with a stitch length set between "1" and "2".
Shell stitch (A)
Rampart (B)
Bridging (C)
For decorative edges.
Suitable for edges on sheer, fine and stretch fabrics.
The larger stitch should go just over the edge of the fabric to
create the shell effect.
Gathering with cord or shirring elastic. This stitch can be
used for firm, thicker fabrics.
For seams, place mats, and tablecloths.
Decorative joining seam for a fagoted effect. Gathering with
cord or shirring elastic.
