Exhaust emissions are controlled by the
design of the fundamental engine
parameters and components (e.g.
carburation, ignition, timing and valve or
port timing) without the addition of any
major hardware.
The carburetor is set at the factory to
provide an optimum fuel-air mixture
under all operating conditions.

Standard setting
: Mount the sweeper drum
assemblies.
: Check spark arresting screen* and
clean or replace as necessary.
: Check the air filter and replace as
necessary.
: Carefully screw the idle speed
screw (LD) down onto its seat
counterclockwise (left-hand thread).
Then open it two full turns
clockwise (standard setting).
