Using slight pressure, press the level
sensor (grass catcher box) (1)
downwards. When doing so, it must move
easily and a quiet "clicking" of the switch
must be audible.
After the level sensor is released, it must
automatically return upwards to the initial
position.
If the level sensor does not move easily
or is dirty, carefully clean it using a
brush – do not use water.

limits:
Risk of injury!
Always wear gloves.
If you do not have the
necessary expertise or
auxiliary equipment, please always
contact a specialist dealer (STIHL
recommends STIHL specialist
dealers).
Never touch the mowing blades
before they have come to a
standstill.
Always set down the mowing deck
on a non-slip surface.
The V-belt is twisted through 180°
due to the double diversion at the
positions A.
Maintenance and checking of
toothed belts may only be carried
out by STIHL specialist dealers.
Risk of injury!
A worn mowing blade may break off
and cause serious injuries. The
instructions for blade maintenance
must therefore always be observed.
Mowing blades are subject to
differing degrees of wear
depending on the location and
duration of use. If you use the
machine on sandy ground or use it
frequently under dry conditions, the
mowing blade will be subjected to
greater loads and will wear more
quickly than normal.
Caution!
Always replace the blade
fastening screw and the retaining
washer when replacing the mowing
blade.
