Receiving a two-tone call
This feature is available for analog channels only.
Two-tone signaling is used to call either individual or
groups of radios. When your radio receives a two-tone
call that it can decode, it beeps, indicating which type
of two-tone call has been received.
One long beep: a two-tone individual call has
been received.
Two medium beeps: a two-tone group call has
been received.
Three short beeps: a two-tone super group call
has been received. A super-group call is
addressed to all radios in the fleet.
Press the PTT key and begin speaking.
Overriding two-tone signaling
You can override two-tone signaling using a function
key, if your radio is programmed in this way.
Press the function key to override two-tone signal-
ing on a channel, and hear all two-tone calls.
The message Ignore two-tone activated
(or deactivated) appears on the display.
