Acquire the Signal
Using FilterVu
By default, the noise filter cutoff frequency is set to the full bandwidth of the oscilloscope when you use FilterVu. To invoke the
variable low-pass filter (noise fi lter), turn th e multipurpose knob counterclockwise. The oscilloscope passes lower frequency signals
which results in a cleaner-looking waveform. The noise frequency readout displays frequencies that the oscilloscope includes in
the foreground waveform. T he oscilloscope displays higher frequency components in the background waveform, up to the
bandwidth of the DPO2000 or MSO2000 model.
NOTE. The oscilloscope always displays the noise filter cutoff f reque ncy in the upper right part of the screen. The cutoff
frequency reflects the -3 dB point.
1. Push the FilterVu button.
