Now observe that the MSO4000 found a timing
change that appears to show a setup and hold
violation in o ne of the bus channels.
In cases such as the on e shown to the right,
the clock and data transitions ap pear to have
occurred at the same time.
Notice the g ray fuzz bands on the display.
These show there is uncertainty here as to the
true edge position of the transition.
As a result, it is unclear if this display
shows a real set up and hold violation or an
under-sampling of the data due to the trigger
system being more precise than the acquisition
system.
