Access Procedure
Begin with this procedure when you have identified a module to be removed for
service and have read General Instructions found earlier in this section.
1. Locate module to be removed:
a. Find the module to be removed in the module locator diagrams, figures
6--2, 6--3, and 6--4 (pages 6--16, 6--19, and 6--22, respectively).
b. Note the number of the figure in which you found the module and the
module name.
2. Access the module:
a. If you have located the module to be replaced in Figure 6--2, do the
following subparts:
H Go to Table 6--5 on page 6--15.
H Find the procedure that includes the name of the module noted
in step1.
H Perform the access instructions listed for the procedure found to
access and remove the module.
H Skip to the end of this procedure (step 3) for reinstallation
instructions.
b. If you have found the module to be removed in either Figure 6--3 or
Figure 6--4, cabinet removal is required:
H First do Line Fuse and Line Cord on page 6--26, removing only the
line cord.
H Then do Front Cover, Rear Cover, Cabinet, Rear EMI Gasket, and
Cabinet Handle and Feet on page 6--27, removing only the rear
cover and cabinet.
H Continue with step 2c.
c. If you have located the module to be replaced in Figure 6--3, do the
following subparts:
H Go to Table 6--6 on page 6--17.
H Find the procedure that includes the name of the module noted
in step1.
H Perform the access instructions listed for the procedure found to
access and remove the module.
