•Avoidcircularmowingorturningthemachineon
thegreensareastopreventscufng.
•Turnthemachineoffthegreenbyraisingthe
cuttingreel(pushingthehandledown)andturning
onthetractiondrum.
•Mowatanormalwalkingpace.Fastspeedssaves
littletimeandresultsinaninferiormowingjob.
•Toassistinmaintainingastraightlineacross
thegreenandtokeepthemachineanequal
distancefromtheedgeofthepreviouscut,usethe
alignmentstripesonthebasket(Figure31).
