ReplacingUsedBatteries
Whenthemachinebeginstoshowalossofrangeorwhenthe
lengthofthedischarge/chargecycleissignicantlyreduced,
thebatteriesareprobablygettingoldandlosingtheirability
toholdacharge.TakethemachinetoanAuthorizedService
Dealerandhavethemtestthebatteriestodeterminewhether
thebatteriesneedtobereplaced.Thedealercanthenreplace
thebatteriesforyou.Ifyouwishtoreplacethebatteries
yourself,usethefollowingprocedure:
1.Raisethecargobed,turnthekeyoff,andremoveit.
2.Disconnectthelong,black,mainnegativeleadrunning
fromthebankofbatteriestothemachinefromthe
batterypost(Figure29).
