productisamaintenancefreebattery,andas
suchyou
do not
needtofollowthesemaintenance
procedures.Thissectiondetailstheproceduresfor
maintainingastandardleadacidbatterywhichyou
mayuseasareplacementfortheoriginalwhenit
wearsout.
Checktheelectrolytelevelinthebatteryevery75hours.
Alwayskeepthebatterycleanandfullycharged.Use
apapertoweltocleanthebatterycase.Ifthebattery
terminalsarecorroded,cleanthemwithasolutionof
fourpartswaterandonepartbakingsoda.Applyalight
coatingofgreasetothebatteryterminalstoreduce
corrosion.

Thebesttimetoadddistilledwatertothebatteryisjust
beforeyouoperatethetractionunit.Thisletsthewater
mixthoroughlywiththeelectrolytesolution.
