Changethehydrauliclteraftertherst8operating
hoursandthenevery400operatinghoursthereafter.
1.Positiontractionunitonalevelsurface.
2.Raisetheloaderarmsandinstallthecylinderlocks,
stoptheengine,andremovethekey.
3.Removethefrontaccesscover.
4.Placeadrainpanunderthelter.
5.Removetheoldlter(
Figure37)andwipethe
surfaceofthelteradaptergasketclean.

6.Applyathincoathydraulicuidtotherubbergasket
onthereplacementlter(Figure37).
7.Installthereplacementhydrauliclterontothelter
adapter(
Figure37).Tightenitclockwiseuntilthe
rubbergasketcontactsthelteradapter,thentighten
thelteranadditional1/2turn.
8.Cleanupanyspilleduid.
9.Starttheengineandletitrunforabouttwominutes
topurgeairfromthesystem.
10.Stoptheengineandcheckforleaks.
WARNING
Hydraulicuidescapingunderpressurecan
penetrateskinandcauseinjury.Fluidinjected
intotheskinmustbesurgicallyremovedwithin
afewhoursbyadoctorfamiliarwiththisform
ofinjuryorgangrenemayresult.
•Keepyourbodyandhandsawayfrompin
holeleaksornozzlesthatejecthighpressure
hydraulicuid.
•Usecardboardorpapertondhydraulic
leaks,neveruseyourhands.
11.Checktheuidlevelinthehydraulictank(referto
CheckingtheHydraulicFluidLevel(page20))and
adduidtoraisetheleveltomarkondipstick.Do
notoverllthetank.
12.Installthefrontaccesscover.
13.Removeandstorethecylinderlocksandlowerthe
loaderarms.

5.Placealargedrainpanunderthetractionunitthat
canholdatleast15USgallons(56l).
6.Removethedrainplugfromthebottomofthe
hydraulictankandallowtheuidtocompletely
drainout.
7.Installthedrainplug.
8.Fillthehydraulictankwithapproximately15US
gallons(56L)of10W-30or15W-40detergent,diesel
engineoil(APIserviceCH-4orhigher);referto
CheckingtheHydraulicFluidLevel(page20).
Note:Disposeofusedoilatacertiedrecycling
center.
9.Installthefrontaccesscover.
10.Removeandstorethecylinderlocksandlowerthe
loaderarms.
