Toshutoffthemachine,releasethetraction-control
pedal,disengagetheblade-controlswitch,ensure
thatthethrottleisintheFASTposition,settheparking
brakeandturntheignitionkeytoOFF.
Note:Remembertoremovethekeyfromtheignition
switch.

Childrenorbystandersmaybeinjuredifthey
moveorattempttooperatethemowerwhile
itisunattended.
Alwaysremovetheignitionkeyandsetthe
parkingbrakewhenleavingthemachine
unattended,evenifjustforafewminutes.
MowinginReverse
Themachinehasaninterlockfeaturethatprevents
themowerdeckfrommowingwhilethemachineis
travelinginreverse.Ifyoushiftintoreversewiththe
PTOengaged,thePTOstops.Ifyouneedtomow
whileinreversegear,youcantemporarilydeactivate
thisinterlock.
Note:Donotmowwhilebackingupunlessitis
absolutelynecessary.

anattachmentinreverse,completethefollowing
procedure:
1.InserttheKeyChoice™keyintotheKey
Choice™switch(Figure6).
2.EngagethePTO.
3.TurntheKeyChoice™keyclockwiseuntilit
stopsandreleaseit.
Note:Aredlightilluminatesontheconsoleto
serveasareminderthattheinterlockhasbeen
deactivated.
4.Performthemowing.
5.Whennishedmowing,removetheKey
Choice™key(Figure6).
Note:Onceyoudeactivatetheinterlock,it
staysinthismode—withyourmowerbladeor
PTOpoweredattachmentoperatingwhenever
youbackup—andtheconsolelightstayson
untilyoueitherdisengagethePTOorturnoff
theengine.
