8.7. "43 (0x2B) Read Device identification" function
The Modbus request is used to read the device identification.
Example in VFS15-2004PM with device name “PROFINET” is shown below.
Inverter supports Basic Device ID and Regular Device ID.
Request format:
Byte Meaning
0 Function Code = 2Bh 0x2B
1 Type of MEI 0x0E
2 Read Device ID code 0x01: Basic
0x02: Regular
3 Object ID 0x00
Response format: Unit ID = 0 – 248 (Inverter)
