WARNING
OVERHEAD HAZARD!
Never stand below or in close proximately to heavy
objects while they are suspended from, or being lifted by,
a lifting device. Failure to follow these instructions could
result in death or serious injuries.
All RTWD Units
1. Store waterbox in a safe and secure location and
position.
Note: Do not leave waterbox suspended from lifting
device.
2. Work a round nylon or brass bristled brush (attached
to a rod) in and out of each of the condenser water
tubes to loosen the sludge.
3. Thoroughly fl ush the condenser water tubes with
clean water.
Note: (To clean internally enhanced tubes, use a
bi-directional brush or consult a qualifi ed service
organization for recommendations.)
Reassembly
Once service is complete, the waterbox should be
reinstalled on the shell following all previous procedures
in reverse.
Use new o-rings or gaskets on all joints after thoroughly
cleaning each joint.
• Torque waterbox bolts.
• Torque bolts in a star pattern. Refer to table below for
torque values.
Note: Torque bolts in a star pattern.
