1. Side Stand
STAND
Side Stand
The motorcycle is equipped with a side
stand on which the motorcycle can be
parked. Whenever the stand is used, before
riding, always ensure that the stand is fully
up after first sitting on the motorcycle.
For instructions on safe parking, refer to the
’How to Ride the Motorcycle’ section
WARNING: The motorcycle is
fitted with an interlock system
to prevent it from being ridden with
the sidestand in the down position.
Never attempt to ride with the
sidestand down or interfere with the
interlock mechanism as this will
cause a dangerous riding condition
leading to loss of motorcycle control
and an accident.
NOTE:
S When using the side stand, always
turn the handlebars fully to the left
and leave the motorcycle in first
gear.
1. Handbook Location
TOOL KIT
The tool kit is strapped into a recess beneath
the seat.
HANDBOOK STORAGE
To gain access to the handbook, remove the
rear seat (as described elsewhere in this
section). The handbook is located in a
recess in the rear mudguard.
