1. Iftherangehoodorhalogenlightdoesnotoperate
after installation:
• Checkiftherangehoodhasbeenpluggedin,make
surethatallpowerhasbeenturnedbackONandall
electricalwiringareproperlyconnected.
• Swapoutlightassemblytoworkingonestodeter-
minewhetheritiscaused by defectivebulbs. See
Replacing the light bulbsonPage23.
2. The range hood vibrates when the blower is on: • The range hood might not have been secured prop-
erlyontotheceilingorwall.Yourductorroofor
wall cap is less than 8” in diameter.
3. Theblowerorfanseemsweak: • Checkthattheductsizedusedisatleast8”.Range
hoodWILLNOTfunctionefcientlywithinsuf-
cientductsize.Forexample:9”ductover8”hole
andlooselysecured.
• Checkifductiscloggedorifdamperunit(half-cir-
cularapper)isnotinstalledcorrectlyoropening
properly.Atightmeshonasidewallcapunitmight
alsocauserestrictiontotheairow.
4. Thelightsworkbuttheblowerisnotspinningatall,
isstuckorisrattling.
• Theblowermightbejammedorscrapingthebot-
tomduetoshippingdamage.Pleasecontactusim-
mediately.
5. Thehoodisnotventingoutproperly: • Makesurethedistancebetweenthestovetopand
the bottom of the hood is within* 28” and 36” in
distance. *Due to different ceiling height congura-
tions, recommended height may not be applicable.
• Reduce the number of elbows and length of duct
work. Check if all joints are properly connected,
sealed, and taped.
• Make sure the power is on high speed for heavy
cooking.
