ventpowerfrombeingswitchedONaccidentally.
• Cleangreaseladensurfacesfrequently.Toreducetheriskofreandtodisperseairproperly,make
sure to vent air outside. DO NOTventexhaustintospacesbetweenwalls,crawlspaces,ceiling,attics
or garages.
• DuctedfansMUSTalwaysbeventedtotheoutdoors.
• UseonlymetalductworkandthisunitMUSTbegrounded.
• Sufcientairisneededforpropercombustionandexhaustingofgasesthroughtheducttoprevent
backdrafting.
• When cutting or drilling into wall or ceiling, be careful not to damage electrical wiring or other hid-
den utilities.
• Allelectricalwiringmustbeproperlyinstalled,insulatedandgrounded.
• Oldductworkshouldbecleanedorreplacedifnecessarytoavoidthepossibilityofagreasere.
• Checkalljointsonductworktoinsureproperconnectionandalljointsshouldbeproperlytaped.

• Keepallfan,bafe,spaces,lter,greasetunnel,oilcontainerandgrease-ladensurfacesclean.Grease
shouldnotbeallowedtoaccumulateonfan,bafe,spaces,lter,greasetunnelandoilcontainer.
• AlwaysturnrangehoodONwhencookingathighheatorwhencookingamingfoods.
• Usehighsettingsoncookingrangeonlywhennecessary.
• Neverleavesurfaceunitsunattendedathighsettings.Boiloverscausesmokingandgreasyspillovers
thatmayignite.Heatoilsslowlyonlowormediumsettings.
