Fault Tracing
A number of symptoms and possible causes of engine malfunctions are described in the table below. Always
contact your Volvo Penta dealer if any problems occur which you cannot solve by yourself.

Start motor will not turn, or turns slowly 1, 2, 26

21. Circulation pump drive belt slipping

25. Alternator drive belt slipping
26. Time limit for cranking the starter motor
27. Stop solenoid has stuck
