Lubricating system
Oil change intervals can vary from 25 to 200 hours, depending on oil grade and sulfur content of the fuel.
Note that oil change intervals must never exceed a period of 12 months.
If you want longer oil change intervals than given in the table below, the condition of the oil must be checked by
the oil manufacturers through regular oil testing.

NOTE! Mineral based oil, or fully or semi-synthetic oil can be used on condition that it complies with the quality
requirements above.

If the sulfur content in the fuel exceeds 1.0% by weight, an oil with TBN14–20 must be used.
VDS = Volvo Drain Specification
