4.5 Starting and stopping the engine
Preparatory work
Accident hazard due to unintentional operation of the vehicle!
Unintentional operation can cause serious injury or death.
► Only operate the vehicle from the seat with the seat belt fastened.
Set the manual throttle to the middle position if the engine is cold.
The starter cannot be actuated if the engine is already running (start
repeat interlock).
Do not run the starter for more than 20 seconds.
Wait two minutes so the battery can recover and the starter does not
overheat before trying again.
Provide for sufficient ventilation when operating in enclosed areas.
All controls must be within easy reach. You must be able to move the
drive levers to their limit positions.
