Physical Layer
The Physical Layer consists of the transceiver, connector, mis-wiring protection
circuitry, regulator, and optional optical isolation. Figure 4 shows the block diagram
of the Physical Layer. In this section, the transceiver, mis-wiring protection (MWP),
and optional isolation are explained. For more information on connectors, refer to
Connectors on page 46. For more information on regulators, refer to Power Supply
on page 54.
