iLive Reference Guide – Firmware Part 2 - 99 AP6526-2 iss.4
Lost connection
If you get the CONNECTION LOST screen then the iLive has lost
network connection after having successfully connected.
Check that mains power is present at the MixRack if it is situated
remote from the Surface.
Check that the cables connecting the MixRack and Surface have not
become disconnected or damaged.
If the system lost connection after a laptop or wireless router was
plugged in check that their IP addresses are compatible. If any
external devices are set for DHCP operation then make sure their
address ranges exclude the iLive addresses if those are set to static.
Laptop fails to connect
Make sure your laptop and wireless router IP addresses are not the
same as and are compatible with the iLive addresses. Check that the
DHCP is correctly set up if used for the router. Refer to the section on
Connecting a Laptop earlier in this guide.
Check that your laptop is within the operating range of your wireless
router, not blocked by walls, metal objects and people, connected to
the correct network and that it indicates good signal strength.
iPhone fails to connect
Make sure your iPhone is correctly configured to work with the iLive.
Refer to the section on Connecting an iPhone earlier in this guide.
Check that your iPhone is connected to the correct wireless network
and indicates good signal strength.
Incompatible firmware
All iLive MixRacks and Surfaces run the same firmware. Keep all
your systems up to date with the latest version of firmware. This gives
you the benefit of new features and performance improvements. Read
the Release Notes that come with the firmware. Check the Allen &
Heath web site for the latest version.
If you get the FIRMWARE VERSION ERROR screen then touch the
Firmware Versions button to view the current firmware versions for
the MixRack, Surface and TouchScreen. Update the firmware if these
are not the same. This is described earlier in this guide.
User Show fails to load
User Shows can only be loaded into systems running the same or
newer version of firmware that was used to create them. For
example, a Show created in V1.6 can be loaded into a system running
V1.7. However, a Show created in V1.7 will not load on a system
running earlier version V1.6.
Note: If you are planning to hire or use a venue iLive system we
recommend you check with the system provider that their firmware is
up to date. If it is not you may not be able to load your USB Show,
and you may not be able to use features recently introduced.
Check that you have permission from the system owner to upgrade
their system firmware if you carry a more recent version on your USB
key. Make sure you have read the Release Notes for that version first.
