Difficult start up (02_11)
START-UP WITH FLOODED ENGINE
The engine may get flooded if the start-
up procedure is not properly carried out
or in case of excess of fuel in intake pipes
and the carburettor.
To clean a flooded engine:
•
Press the starter button «7» for
a few seconds (running the en-
gine with no gear engaged) with
the throttle grip completely twis-
ted.
COLD START
If the ambient temperature is low (near or
below 0°C), there may be problems with
the first start-up.
In this case:
•
Press the starter button «7» for
five seconds and at the same
time gradually turn the throttle
grip.
If the engine starts.
•
Release the throttle grip.
•
If idle speed is not stable, twist
the throttle grip slightly and fre-
quently.
Moeilijke start (02_11)
STARTEN MET VERZOPEN MOTOR
Wanneer men de startprocedure niet cor-
rect uitvoert, of wanneer er een exces-
sieve hoeveelheid brandstof aanwezig is
in de aanzuigleiding en in de carburator,
zou de motor kunnen verzuipen.
Om een verzopen motor te reinigen, han-
delt men als volgt:
•
Druk op de startknop «7» voor
enkele seconden (door de motor
leeg te doen draaien), met het
gashandvat volledig gedraaid.
KOUDE START
Wanneer de omgevingstemperatuur laag
is (dichtbij of onder het vriespunt), zou de
eerste start moeilijk kunnen verlopen.
In dit geval handelt men als volgt:
•
Druk voor vijf seconden op de
startknop «7» en draai tegelij-
kertijd gematigd aan het gas-
handvat.
Wanneer de motor niet start.
•
Laat het gashandvat los.
•
Wanneer het regime van het mi-
nimum toerental instabiel blijkt,
handelt men op het gashandvat
