3 Setup of the instrument
After connecting to a supply voltage, the device is in standby. To start the unit, the "Standby" button must
be held down for half a second. The start of the device is confirmed with a signal tone.
After the start the last selected program parameters are loaded. It is possible to skip the "Setup" mode by
pressing the "Enter/Go On" key twice (three times in the "Free" program).
The device turns off via the "Standby" button.
3.1 Setup
The device is in "Setup" mode after starting. The user selects the program parameters in this mode. The
parameters are set in the following steps:
1. select program
2. set end value/step size
3. select/set exclusive keys
The countstop is the value of the end counter at which the program automatically switches to the
"Evaluation" mode. The end counter is incremented by the same value as the pressed key when a non-
exclusive key is pressed.
In the "Reti" program, the "Div/Ery" key is incremented by the step size when pressed.
An exclusive key does not increment the end counter when pressed.
3.2 Select program
The program is selected using the "Right/+" key or "Left/-/Eval.” key. The following programs can be
selected.
• Leuko
o The countstop can be set between 10 and 1000, in steps of 10 and 100.
o The 5th column of the counting buttons is evaluated exclusively.
• Myelo
o The countstop can be set between 10 and 1000, in steps of 10 and 100.
• Reti
o All count buttons except the "Div/Ery" button are evaluated exclusively.
