9.5 Automatic service
Warning – Risk of frostbite from escaping
refrigerant!
Refrigerant causes severe frostbite on the
skin.
¶ Check the service hoses for damage.
¶ Firmly connect the service quick-release
couplings to the service hoses.
¶ Wear safety goggles.
¶ Wear protective gloves.
i This function enables the automatic performance of
the recovery, vacuum and filling service phases.
i The service parameters (vacuum generation time,
filling quantity and type of refrigerant and fresh oil)
can be taken from the database and used for the
"Automatic Service".
! The service parameters (vacuum generation time,
recharge quantity, oil and refrigerant type) can be
found in the owner's manual or the vehicle repair
manual and must be heeded.
! For vehicles with only one service connection, the
service phase "Filling" should be performed in the
"Manual service" mode.
! For vehicles with only one service connection, the
manufacturer's recommended procedure must be
followed.
<Automatic> key
! Follow the additional ACS 810 menu prompting.
1. Connect the HP and LP service hoses to the vehicle
air conditioning system.
2. Open the valves on both service hoses.
3. Open the HP and LP valves on the display and
control panel.
4. Call up the start screen.
5. Press <Automatic>.
SELECT PORTS?
1 HP & LP PORTS
2 HP PORT
3 LP PORT
6. Select <1>,<2> or <3>; confirm with E.
SET VACUUM TIME is displayed.
7. Set duration of vacuum generation with <0 – 9> and
confirm with E.
CHARGING OIL?
1 - YES
2 - NO
8. Select <1> or <2> and confirm with E.
SET REFRIGERANT CHARGE is displayed.
9. Enter refrigerant quantity (R134a) with <0 – 9> and
confirm with E.
Automatic service starts.
i If CHARGING OIL? was answered with "YES",
ACS 810 stops after the vacuum phase and the
fresh oil quantity must be fed manually.
i The quantities of fresh and used oil are not
determined by weighing scales, but must instead
be read from the scale by the user, noted down and
calculated.
10. To start the fresh oil filling process, press the
<MENU> key once briefly.
11. As soon as the required quantity of fresh oil has
been filled, stop the filling process by pressing
the <MENU> key again.
12. Start the refrigerant filling process by pressing E.
ACS 810 will fill the vehicle air conditioning
system with R134a refrigerant.
