Operation of the 218
CAUTION! HIGHINTENSITY SOUND
Loud output signals can damage your hearing.
$
Set the connected source devices/preamplifiers to a low volume before switching
on the 218.
$
Avoid listening at high volume levels for long periods of time.
SWITCHING THE 218 ON AND OFF AT THE DEVICE
Only switch on the 218 if you are sure that your preamplifier is set to a low volume.
Switching on the 218
Set the 218's power switch (6) on the back of the device to the ON position.
$
The POWER LED (2) lights up and the device is in standby mode.
Now press the POWER button (1) on the front of the device.
$
The POWER LED (2) changes colour and the device is switched on.
Switching off the 218 (standby mode)
Now press the POWER button (1) on the front of the device.
$
The POWER LED (2) changes colour and the device is switched to standby mode.
To switch off the 218 completely, set the power switch (6)
on the back of the device to OFF position.
SWITCHING THE 218 ON AND OFF WITH THE REMOTE CONTROL
The 218 can be switched on and off with the optional remote control.
Only switch on the 218 with the remote control if you are sure
that your preamplifier is set to a low volume.
Switching on the 218 with the remote control
Set the 218's power switch (6) on the back of the device to the ON position.
$
The POWER LED (2) is lit up.
Press the (POWER) button on your remote control.
$
The device is switched on and the POWER LED (2) changes colour.
