used
to
mark
messages
that
affect
the
entice
keybcard,
while
messages
without
ar,
asterisk
are
those
that
aftect
only
a
particular
channel.
NOTE
ON/OFF
This
message
sends
data
when
a
key
is
pressed
(NOTE
ON)
or
re-
leased
(NOTE
OFF)
ANOTE
ON/OFF
message
includes
a
note
number
(to
indicate
the
note
whose
key
is
being
pressed
or
released)
and
velocity
(keyboard
Pressure
as
a
vaiue
from
1
to
127).
NOTE
ON
velocity
is
always
used
to
determine
the
relative
strength
of
the
note.
This
piano
does
nat
receive
NOTE
OFF
velocity
data.
Pressing
a
keyboard
key
sends
the
corresponding
NOTE
ON
mes-
sage
from
the

while
releasing
the
