9. Select the Add Stage icon.
10. Enter the method parameters as follows:
• Ramp time (mm:ss)
• Hold time (mm:ss)
• Temperature (ºC)
• Pressure (psi) - only available for EasyPrep and EasyPrep Plus vessels
• Power (0 - 1800)
• GlassChem 20: 1-4 Vessels: 500 W 5-10 Vessels: 1000 W 11-24 vessels: 1800 W
• EasyPrep & EasyPrep Plus: 1-3 Vessels: 400 W 4-6 Vessels: 800 W 7-9 Vessels: 1200 W
10-12 Vessels: 1800 W
• Open Vessel/Beaker: 100 mL-500 mL volume: 500 W 500 mL - 1.5 L volume: 1000 W
1.5 - 3.5 L volume: 1800 W
• Stirring (on or off - if on: high, med, low)
NOTE
The temperature and power increments can be adjusted in the following location: System Menu > Settings
> Method.
11. Additional stages can be added at this time. Repeat steps 9-11 for each stage (maximum of 5).
12. Once the method parameters are entered properly, select the Save icon located in the top right corner.
13. Once the method is saved, the method may be run by selecting the Play icon.
CAUTION
Observe the entire reaction sequence when establishing a procedure for the rst time.
