●It is not necessary to check the battery
electrolyte level or add distilled water
as the battery is a maintenance-free
type.
●If your battery seems weak and/or is
leaking electrolyte (causing hard
starting or other electrical troubles),
contact your Daelim dealer.
<CLEANING BATTERY TERMINALS>
●If the battery terminal is polluted, or in
rust, separate battery and clean it.
●Battery terminal in rust with white
powder should be cleaned with warm
water.
●In case of serious rust of battery
terminal, disassemble the battery cord
and grind it with wirebrush or sand-
paper.
<BATTERY REMOVAL>
1. Remove the battery cover.
2. Loosen the screw and remove the
battery band.
3. Disconnect the negative(-) terminal lead
from the battery first, then disconnect
the positive(+) terminal lead.
4. Pull out the battery from the battery
box.
CAUTION
●Your battery is a maintenance-free
type and can be permanently
damaged if the cap strip is removed.
CAUTION
●Turn the ignition switch OFF before
disconnecting the terminal from the
battery.
●Make sure that terminals do not
contact with other adjacent parts
when handling ⊕ /⊖ terminal.
Contact with other parts may cause
spark resulting in electrical equip-
ment malfunction, fire and electric
shock.
●Frequent cell starting can shorten the
battery lifetime. Please use a kick to
start the engine after the long period
storage and in case of the initial
starting and the cold starting to
improve starting performance and
extend the battery lifetime.
●When not using vehicle during a long
time, take off the battery from the
vehicle to keep from self-discharge
and electric discharge. Put the battery
in a well ventilated place after
charging fully. In case it isn’t
available to take battery off from the
vehicle, disconnect “-” terminal.

●The battery gives off explosive
hydrogen gas during normal
operation.
●When handling the battery, stay away
from flammable materials.
●Wear protective clothing and a face
shield, or have a skilled mechanic do
the battery maintenance.
