Operation
WARNING: Unit must be full of uid before operating. Do not run dry, or against a closed discharge. Do not pump dirty water or abrasive
liquids. To do so will cause pump failure and will void the warranty.
WARNING: The motor runs hot. Avoid touching the motor case. Contact during operation may cause a burn.
CHECKING VOLTAGE AND PHASE
□ Before operating the pump, check to make sure that voltage and phase information stamped on the pump’s identication plate
matches the available power.
INCORRECT ROTATION
□ In the unlikely event that the rotation is incorrect for a single-phase pump, contact Customer Service.
IDENTIFICATION PLATE
□ Note the numbers on the pump’s identication plate and record at the end of the manual for future reference.
INSULATION TEST
□ Before the pump is put into service, an insulation (megger) test should be performed on it. The ohm values as well as the volts and
amps should be recorded.
Maintenance
WARNING: Disconnect the power supply and depressurize the system before servicing the pump or removing any component.
CAUTION: Operating pump builds up heat and pressure; allow time for pump to cool to room temperature before handling or servicing.
CAUTION: Always wear eye protection when working on pumps.
ROUTINE MAINTENANCE
□ Check the pump daily, weekly, and monthly for proper operation. If anything has changed since the unit was new, unit should be
removed and repaired or replaced. Only qualied electricians or service personnel should attempt to repair this unit. Improper repair
and/or assembly can cause an electrical shock hazard.
