4. Partially tighten the wheel nuts in the
sequence shown.
5. Lower the vehicle and remove the jack.
6. Fully tighten the wheel nuts in the
sequence shown. See Technical
Specifications (page 264).
7. Make sure that the projection of the
cap is positioned on the same position
as the projection of the hub.
WARNING
Have the wheel nuts checked for
tightness and the tire pressure
checked as soon as possible.
Note: If the spare wheel is different in size
or construction to the road wheels, have this
replaced as soon as possible.
Stowing the Flat Tire
WARNING
Do not raise the spare wheel carrier
without the wheel attached. Damage
can occur to the winch mechanism
if raised without a wheel attached.
1. Place the wheel flat on the ground,
with the outside of the wheel facing up.
2. Tilt the bracket, and pass it through the
centre of the wheel.
3. Fully insert the jack handle into the
guide hole and turn clockwise.
4. Stow the wheel brace, jack, and jack
handle away.
