TUNE-UP
A
tune-up
is
a
systematic
procedure
for
testing
various
engine
components,
and,
if
necessary,
bringing
them
within
recommended
specifications
to
restore
engine
efficiency
and
performance.
The
Tune-Up
Schedule
(Table
2)
is
applicable
for
either
a
minor
or
major
tune-up.
A
minor
tune-up
is
recommended
each
6000
miles
and
a
major
tune-up
is
recommended
each
12,000
miles.
The
reference
after
each
operation
refers
to
that
part
of
the
manual
which
describes,
in
detail,
the
procedure
to
be
followed.

the
operations
in
the
sequence
listed.
