FCC Radio Frequency Exposure statement
The available scientific evidence does not show that any health problems are associated with
using low power wireless devices. There is no proof, however, that these low power wireless
devices are absolutely safe. L ow power wireless devices emit low levels of radio frequency
energy (RF) in the microwave range while being used. Whereas high levels of RF can produce
health effects (by heating tissue), exposure to low-level RF that does n ot produce heating
effects causes no known adverse health effects. Many studies of low-level RF exposure have
not found any biological effects. Some s tudies h ave suggested that some biological effects
might occur, but such findings ha ve not been confirmed by additional research.
The wireless LAN radio device has been tested and found to comply with FCC radiation
exposure limits set forth for an uncontrolled equipme nt and meets the FCC radio frequency
(RF) Exposure Guidelines in Supplement C t o O ET65.
The exposure standard for wireless devices employs a unit of measurement known as the
Specific Absorption Rate, or SAR. T he SAR limit set by th e FCC is 1.6W/kg.
This device is compliant with SAR for general po pulation /uncontrolled exposure limits in ANSI/IEEE
C95.1-1992, and had be en tested in accordance with the measurement methods and procedures
specified in OET Bulletin 65 Supplement C. This device has been tested, and meets the F CC,
IC RF exposure guidelines when tested with the device operating conditions.
