With the lid set closed firmly and correctly, it will not fall during pouring.
5. If you wish to keep the water hot, ensure that there are still at least 250ml water
within the kettle (1cm or half an inch above the tip of the temperature sensor).
Then, place the kettle onto the power base again.
NOTE
Do not leave the water within the kettle uselessly to avoid excessive build-up of
lime within the kettle.
ADDING WATER DURING OPERATION
CAUTIONDo not let cold water run down at the side walls of the
kettle, while the kettle is hot. When adding water during operation, always pour
the water slowly into the middle of the kettle. Otherwise, the glass body could
crack! Please observe the maximum filling level (“1.5L / MAX WATER”). If you
wish to use the keep warm function further on, although the filling level within the
kettle dropped below the minimum filling level of 250ml (approx. 1cm or half an
inch above the tip of the temperature probe), you need to add some water. The
water will be re-heated to the keep warm temperature automatically (max.
90°C/194°F; see: ‘Properties of Your New Tea Maker / Keep Warm Function’).
1. Remove the kettle from the power base and remove the lid from the lid ring.
2. Carefully and slowly pour the required amount of water into the middle of the
kettle, without letting cold water run down at the side walls of the kettle.
3. Re-place the lid in the lid ring and place the kettle onto the power base. The
kettle heats the water up to the keep warm temperature and carries on executing
the function as usual.
USING THE AUTO START FUNCTION
Via the auto start function you can set a point in time for starting the selected pro-
gram automatically. For this, prepare the appliance for operation and set the internal
clock of the appliance. Then, select the desired starting time. The appliance starts
the program, when the set starting time is reached.
IMPORTANT - Select the desired program first, and set up the required temperature
and steeping time, before activating the auto start function.
1. Prepare the filter system and the appliance for operation (see: ‘Preparing the Fil-
ter System’ and ‘Preparing the Appliance for Operation’).
