Problem Reason The Solution
The power socket in the
centre of the power base
or the pins at the bottom
of the kettle are polluted,
damp, damaged or cor-
roded.
Check the power connection at the bottom of the kettle
and the power socket of the power base for moisture,
discolouration, distortion or corrosion (green, blue or
brown crusts). Do not use the appliance again, if the pins
are not smooth, dry, and clean. Do not attempt to clean
or repair the power connector! Contact an authorised ser-
vice centre for replacement and repair.
The power base or the
kettle are damaged.
Do not attempt to use the appliance, when the power
base or kettle are damaged in any way. Contact an
authorised service centre for replacement or repair.
The cantilever rests on the
kettle, keeping the kettle
locked at the power base.
The steeping time of a tea
program or user-defined
program is running.
Wait until the steeping time ran through and the count-
down of the steeping time reaches zero. Alternatively,
cancel the program by pressing the TEA button.
An error occurred.
Perhaps, “E4” is shown
on the display.
Cancel the program (press the TEA button) and unplug
the appliance. Wait for approx. 30 minutes. Then plug in
the appliance. The cantilever should move up now.

ERROR MESSAGES
The conditions for error messages can be eliminated easily via the suggestions
below. If in doubt, simply unplug the appliance for approx. 30 minutes. When
connecting the appliance to the power supply again, the initialisation is performed
